The instrumental was also used in the song " Love This Town" by Dizzee Rascal, also co-written and produced by Sanicola. Alexa PenaVega posted an online video containing this version of the song on March 22, 2020. Īn earlier mix of the song did not include the guitars that are present in the final version. Though uncredited, the guitars were contributed by Jordan Sapp. "Love Me Again" was written by Damon Sharpe, Eric Sanicola, Talay Riley, and CJ Holland. On June 1, 2022, Big Time Rush posted a social media video of themselves re-recording their vocals for "Love Me Again". The official Nickelodeon Twitter account also responded when asked, saying that it was done for the purpose of "keeping it kid-friendly". When asked about the change on Twitter, writer and producer Damon Sharpe clarified that "the powers that be" required the song to be re-recorded with new lyrics. When the album was released in June, fans noticed that the lyrics had been largely re-written, the sexual themes replaced with those of loss and regret over a failed relationship. On April 29, Big Time Rush announced that "Love Me Again" would be included on the track list for 24/seven. Logan Henderson holding the title reveal for "Love Me Again". Despite this, he did not remove it, and the video is still available on PenaVega's channel. Two days later, on April 19, PenaVega tweeted the single word, "oops.", seemingly in reference to the video. The same day, an anonymous Tumblr user leaked the unedited, uninterrupted version of the track for download. Most notably, however, the band's suggestive dance moves and body movements showcased a more "mature" side of the band, which was atypical of Big Time Rush given the clean reputation they upheld under their partnership with Nickelodeon. The video's upload initially confused fans, as "Love Me Again" had not yet been released or even announced by BTR, and the video description may have suggested that PenaVega accidentally made the video public when it was intended to be private. The video was captioned with "Boys Let me know if you approve, ill then save it for when the album gets released in June. The music video consists of a single shot and showcases the boys messing around in the lobby of their hotel room, dancing and lip-syncing to "Love Me Again", two hours before their show in São Paulo. On April 17, 2013, Carlos PenaVega uploaded a YouTube video that he recorded while the band was touring in Brazil. ![]()
